Zombiewood is another shoot 'em up game featuring zombies.
Taking place in Hollywood, the environments have a lot of cues from action movie sets. Much of what is on screen can be destroyed, and Zombiewood actually has bonuses for destroying items in each level. Visually the game has a cartoon look that allows for the main character to mirror the uber-hero with gigantic chin. There are different types of zombies with separate appearances that are recognizable so you know what type of zombie is attacking you.
Controls in Zombiewood are a little annoying because they do not always work like you want. Containing two controlling circles, you move with the left pad and shoot in specific directions with the right. You can purchase and upgrade different weapons from pistols to rifles, but they either cost a lot or use Gameloft's in-app currency.
The first four levels are easily unlockable, but other levels cost currency to play. This is annoying because you are forced to replay levels or use real money to unlock levels. The core of Zombiewood is a lot of fun, but forcing players to spend money is disappointing.
Zombiewood is fun until you have to spend money to continue.
